About Me
I help people feel safe in their body. I love the process of helping people experience ease and healing. My holistic approach combines elements of polyvagal theory, yoga philosophy, somatics, IFS (Internal Family Systems), and mindfulness.

Dr. Bessel van der Kolk's research in his book "The Body Keeps the Score" reveals how our minds work to leave trauma in the past while our bodies keep us trapped there through sensations and feelings. The phrase "In order to heal it, you must feel it" is often attributed to Dr. Peter A. Levine who has also made significant contributions to the field of trauma and somatic experiencing. He emphasizes the importance of connecting with and processing the physical sensations and emotions associated with trauma to facilitate healing. These principles are the foundation of nervous system regulation sessions.

With great compassion and curiosity, we will gradually increase your ability to identify and feel physical and emotional sensations. When all parts of you feel comfortable, we will use gentle movement and postures to release stuck energy and move forward in a more regulated nervous system state.

Along the way, I provide nervous system education and tools for regulation, as well as, introduce clients to the concept of having an "inner world" of thoughts, feelings, urges, and sensations (IFS parts as messengers).

You may choose to work with me exclusively, coordinate care with your therapist or you may choose to transition your care to one of our therapists who can address the root of anything discovered while attuning to your body. A signed "release of information" is required if you choose to have me coordinate care with a therapist or other healthcare provider.
